Spreadsheet Marking tool

June 2025 update

The latest version of Spreadsheet Marking essentially works the same but with a few differences as noted below. Please refer to Updates to marks extract process (June 2025)

  • Can now be used for manually created and RA to deadline assignments.
  • Marks are not automatically sent to ISIS. Please see the Release Marks to ISIS tool guidance.
  • Already released marks can be released again. Existing grades will be updated in the Grade Centre and any new feedback files added (existing feedback files will not be removed).
  • No announcement posted. However, this can be done when you Release the marks to ISIS.
  • If using an Ultra course, marks are automatically posted when you release - this means that they will be visible to students.

Panopto recordings - Please note that when a student submits a link to their Panopto recording, the Spreadsheet Marking tool will add this to the .txt file in the student folder. However, the path to the Panopto recording is not fully formatted meaning that you cannot just click on a link to view it. Our recommendation would be to use the Grade Centre to mark Panopto submissions but if you want to use the Spreadsheet Marking tool, you will still need to view the recordings via the Grade Centre.
