Support pages for Staff led recordings of Student presentations

The following guidance is designed for recording student presentations within a UWE teaching room where a member of staff is present (this guidance does not cover student submissions for Online Assessment, which is not currently supported by the University).

For a member of staff to record student presentations an assignment folder for the module run must be created to store these recordings.

Important Note: Student recordings must only be recorded into an assignment folder for the module. Recording them in the main module folder will result in students being able to see each other recordings, which could constitute a personal data breach.

Once an assignment folder has been created within Panopto, the manual Panopto recorder can be used to record the presentations to this folder. The Panopto recorder should always be logged in using a staff members credentials.

Assignment folders should be closed after all recordings have been made to the assessment if further assignment folders will need to be created for future assessment recordings within the module run.

Recordings can be viewed through the Panopto cloud by any instructors and External Examiners attached to the module run and if necessary permissions can be given to allow students and External Examiners to view the recordings.
