Yes, any markers who have been allocated marking will receive an email to make them aware. The person allocating the work does not receive an email if allocating to themselves.
The tool only sends an email notification to the markers who have been allocated. There are no other notifications.
Yes, both manually created or SIS fed assignments can be allocated using the UWE Allocation tool.
Please note that if your assignment has no due date, it will not appear in the list but you can still use the search to find it. It is advisable to make sure your assignment is no longer available to students before starting to mark.

Yes, when the allocation is first set up, the tool will display all students who have made an attempt as long as their latest attempt hasn't already got a mark in the Gradebook. For students who submitted but whose enrolment has been disabled, you will see them in the list but will not be able to view their attempt. Please raise an ITonline ticket to see if the students enrolment can be re-enabled temporarily.
Students only see marks and feedback when they have been posted in the Gradebook. As long as the marks remain unposted in the Gradebook, students will not be able to see marks or feedback. The UWE Marking Allocation tool does not post marks.
No. Deleting the allocation just clears any marking allocations set. It will not delete any marks and feedback that have already been saved in the Gradebook. See How to edit or delete allocations already set up
Yes, any instructor on the module can view the View Marking Allocations page. This screen provides an overview of all the allocated students; the allocated marker; and the current mark (if one has been submitted). Alternatively, you will be able to see the marking in the Gradebook column.
