Adding a Course Link to the Course Menu or Content Area

If required you can add a link to the Collaborate Assessments tool on your Course Menu or to a Content Area. This will allow students to see sessions they are attached to, join sessions they are attached to, watch recordings for sessions they are attached to and have permission to watch.

How do students access a session - provided by the Faculty of Environment and Technology LIU

Quick steps: To Add a Course Link to the Course Menu from within the Tool

  1. Navigate to the required course
  2. Click Course Tools
  3. Click Collaborate Assessments
  4. Click Create Course Menu Link
  5. Click the refresh button on the course menu

    The Collaborate Assessments link will be added to the course menu

  1. Navigate to the required course
  2. Click the + button on the menu
  3. Click Tool Link
  4. Add a link name
  5. Change the type to Collaborate Assessments
  6. Tick to make available to users
  7. Click submit

    The link will be added to the course menu

Quick steps: To Add a Link to a Content Area

  1. Navigate to the required course
  2. Click into the required Content Area
  3. Click the tools drop down
  4. Click More Tools
  5. Click Collaborate Assessments
  6. Enter a link name
  7. Enter any descriptive text required
  8. Ensure the link is available
  9. Track views if required
  10. Add date restrictions where required
  11. Click submit

    A link will be added to the Content area
