Beyond September 2023, Collaborate will no longer be available
(see Summer Updates 2023) and therefore any Group Collaborate recordings that need to be retained e.g. student assessment recordings, will need to be manually downloaded and saved to the course Content Collection. There is no automatic process to do this. The steps below outline how you can do this manually:- Go into the course and from the Course Management area select Users and Groups and then select Groups
- Click on the Group name and from the list of group tools select Collaborate
- Find the recording that you need to retain and from the three dot ellipses select Download
- From the Course Management area select Content Collection, then click on the Course id (this will be the top option)
- Select Create Folder, enter an apprpriate name e.g. Group Collaborate Assessments and then select Submit
- By default, the folder permissions should only allow the following user types: Course builder; external examiner; instructor; and Teaching Assistant. To check the permissions, hover over the folder name and from the drop down select Permissions. Do edit or not add any other permissions as this may allow student access.
- Click into the folder and from the Upload option select Upload Files
- Browse Local Files to find and select the downloaded recording, then submit.
- The recording will be uploaded to the folder.
