When your instructors have recorded events such as lectures, they may choose to link to the recordings within your Blackboard course.
There are two types of links: a link to one particular recording; or a link to all the recordings for the module. Both have the green Panopto icon.
Link to one particular recording
Links to a single recording will have a link that describes what recording it is, for example the date. When you click on the link, the recording will open in a new tab.
Link to all the recordings for this particular module run
Links to all recordings for the module will have a more general link name such as ‘Panopto Content’. After you click on this link you will see a list of all the recordings available - click on the appropriate one and the recording will open in a new tab.
Viewing the recording
Take Note
- The main viewing screen
- The webcam recording (where used)
- Use the pause and play buttons to stop and start the recording at any time
- Use the contents area to search or jump to a section of the recording
- Use the slide viewer at the bottom to jump to a particular section of the recording
- Use the toolbar to switch sources (For example, if your lecturer switches from showing a PowerPoint slide to a document camera, you will need to change the view from ‘Slides’ to ‘Camera’.)
