Clearing Cache and Cookies

The followings instructions explain the steps to clearing the cache and cookies from some of the most commonly used browsers.

Once you have cleared your cache and cookies, please close your browser down and then re-open and continue using Blackboard as usual.

Firefox Chrome

Edge Safari

Firefox

1. Open the browser and select the top right hand menu.
2. Select History.
3. Select Clear Recent History.
4. Set the Time range to clear to Everything.
5. Ensure that the Cache and Cookies options are selected.
6. Select Clear Now.
7. Close the browser down completely.

Chrome

1. Open the browser and select the top right hand menu.
2. Select History.
3. Select Clear Browsing data.
4. Set the Clear the following items from option to the beginning of time.
5. Ensure that the Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data options are selected
6. Select Clear Browsing data.
7. Close the browser down completely.

Edge

1. Open the browser and select the top right hand menu.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Privacy, Search & Services.
4. Within Clear Browsing Data, select Choose what to clear.

Safari

1. Open the browser and select the Safari menu.
2. Select Preferences.
3. From the pop-up window select the Privacy tab.
4. Click on the Remove All Website Data button.
5. Select Remove Now.
6. Close the browser down completely.
