Talks by top leaders to begin again in the autumn

Members of the public can once again attend talks given by top leaders. Organised by the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), the lectures will cover a variety of subjects and are to include speakers from Pfizer, The Royal Television Society, Arts Council England, Mott MacDonald, and the Royal Mint.

The Autumn programme for the Business Distinguished Address Series begins with a virtual event on 8 September with the Universities prestigious Annual Bolland Lecture featuring Ben Osborn from Pfizer. Ben will look at the UK as a Global Hub for Life Sciences; he is the biopharmaceutical company’s UK Country Manager and Managing Director. Following this on the 22 September The Royal Television Society CEO Theresa Wise will give a talk on The Future of Television.

The following month, on 6 October, Chief Executive of Arts Council England Dr Darren Henley, OBE will ask the question: What is the Role of Arts and Culture in a Post-pandemic World? On 20 October, Executive Chair of Mott MacDonald Mike Haigh will talk about Recovery from the Global Pandemic: The Impact of Accelerated Megatrends.

Finally on 3 November, Anne Jessopp will talk about Reinventing The Royal Mint – Anne is Chief Executive of the coin-producing organisation.
