A level three Fashion Textiles student has been awarded a UWE Bristol Enterprise Try It Award to explore his fashion enterprise ideas.

Dan Hallam is one of 10 UWE Bristol students to receive funding from UWE Bristol Enterprise Try It Awards. The awards, funded by Santander, aim to help students take the next step in their business or get their idea off the ground, with every winning student offered between £125-£500.

Dan received £300 after his application was selected by UWE Bristol Enterprise’s Santander ambassadors, three entrepreneurs based at UWE Bristol’s Launch Space.

Gabi Cox, ACE Faculty's Enterprise Skills Advisor, commented: "Dan’s application was detailed and concise, he showed a clear understanding of where the money would be spent and how it would help him grow his menswear business, which was fantastic to see. He articulated his idea brilliantly, whilst showcasing example products helped the team visualise what Dan’s work looks like. We were delighted to offer him funding and can’t wait to see how his business progresses."
