Award winning UWE Bristol graduate to take part in Q&A at Arnolfini event

An event at Arnolfini next week will give the audience the chance to get up close with UWE Bristol graduate Lindsey Parietti, the brainchild behind Baby Chimp Rescue, the three-part series showing on BBC2. Lindsey conceived the original idea while studying for her Wildlife Filmmaking Master's at UWE Bristol and it was subsequently commissioned by the BBC's Natural History Unit.
While studying for her MA, Lindsey produced documentary Blood Island for her student project, which went on to win her a Student BAFTA in 2018.
This laid the foundations for Baby Chimp Rescue, which follows the story of life in a home for orphaned baby chimpanzees run by vet Jimmy Desmond and his wife Jenny.
Members of the public attending the free Arnolfini event on Tuesday 28 January from 7-9pm, will first see a screening of episode one of the documentary.
They will then have the opportunity to ask Lindsey questions during a Q and A session involving Lynn Barlow, the University's Assistant Vice-Chancellor Creative and Cultural Industries. Lynn is a Royal Television Society and Grierson award-winning journalist and broadcaster, with a career that spans newspapers, radio and television.
