The University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) has announced a new line-up of evening lectures from 9 October to 13 November as part of its Bristol Distinguished Address Series (BDAS). The talks are given by top executives from across the industry and hosted in UWE Bristol's £55m Bristol Business School building.

During the autumn talks, topics are to include the rise of the UK as a Fintech hub, how our retail landscape is changing, and how to get ahead in business in a disruptive landscape.

The lecture series takes place twice a year and has become extremely popular, drawing in many from the region's business community, who see the talks as an opportunity to hear about the challenges, issues and decisions made at the highest level of strategic leadership.

Ray McDowell, Interim Dean of Bristol Business School and Bristol Law School said he welcomed this year's BDAS as it begins its 10th year. “The Distinguished Address Series is unrivalled in the West of England in bringing significant people with a wealth of strategic experience and leadership to the region.

“We believe the opportunity to hear the views of such inspirational figures is a wonderful benefit for the local business community as well as our students, alumni and staff.”
