A new space on campus for you

Want somewhere to chill out between lectures? Or host a film night or society meeting? Or have a chat with a member of support staff at the weekend?

We've opened up a space for you to use just how you want to.

Introducing the Student Centre

Tucked away beyond Wallscourt Park accommodation on Frenchay Campus is the Farmhouse, our designated Student Centre.

What is the Student Centre?

The Student Centre is yours. There's a large lounge with sofas and bean bags, two meeting rooms for groups and a large meeting room with a screen. A ping-pong table is on order.

There's also a kitchen on the ground floor equipped with a microwave and crockery, so you can make yourself a drink or heat up something to eat.

So whether you want to chill out, find somewhere to read a book, meet friends, have a society meeting or host a games or film night, there's a space for you.

You can book the two medium-sized rooms via the online room bookings system. To book the large meeting room (the Dartington Suite), you'll need to email us. If you're inviting an external speaker as part of a society meeting, we ask that you let us know at least two weeks' in advance.

If you need a chat

As well as chill-out and meet up space, we have a team of student support staff on-site.

The out-of-hours team are available from 19:00-07:00 Monday to Friday and 24 hours at weekends during term-time. Just pop into their office on the first floor and have a chat about whatever's on your mind. Or you can contact them via 07814 791212 or outofhours@uwe.ac.uk

The Centre is open 24/7 for you to use. We just ask that you respect that it's alcohol-free.
