Feel Good February is back at UWE Bristol and bigger and better than ever.

Students and staff are getting ready to benefit from a number of free health and wellbeing events organised as part of the month long campaign.

Now in its eighth successful year, Feel Good February is an opportunity for everyone at UWE to focus on their health, fitness and wellbeing, by taking part in a range of activities and taster sessions.

Some of the free events and sessions taking place include healthy cooking demonstrations in OneZone, the Go Green Week, smoke-free clinicsto offer help and advice to those that want to quit and 'Gymviate' – a £5, 6 week gym membership offered by the Centre for Sport. A local farmers' market will be selling fresh produce on the first Tuesday of the month and students and staff can also take part in a number of free classes and activities, including spin, Zumba, Pilates and yoga. There is also the One World Fiesta, a week-long, food, dance, music and film event that is a celebration of diversity and culture at UWE Bristol.

New for this year's event is the introduction of the Feel Good February Loyalty Card Scheme which guarantees prizes for everyone who takes part. Students and staff simply collect a loyalty card from any UWE Info Point or SU Office and collect a stamp at each event they attend. There are some amazing prizes on offer including an iPad Mini, a mountain bike, vouchers to spend around campus and much more.

The Succeed Body Image Programme, which endeavours to help improve body image, is back for its second year. The sessions are open to all female students and are run by UWE student 'Peer Leaders' who have undergone rigorous training by staff at the Centre for Appearance Research at UWE and The Succeed Foundation.

Joshua Clark, Healthy University Intern, says, “We've listened to the feedback from previous years and have endeavoured to expand the range of events and activities for those working and studying at the University. We're proud that we can offer such a wide range of free classes and sessions and hope everyone will enjoy Feel Good February 2014.”
