Professor Jim Longhurst gives speech on low carbon cities at UN climate conference

UWE Assistant Vice-Chancellor for Environment & Sustainability, Professor Jim Longhurst is at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP17) as part of an invited panel of experts who are addressing the challenge of managing carbon in cities. During a day-long programme "Pathways Towards Low Carbon Cities" Jim is giving a presentation on international initiatives to manage carbon in cities before taking part in a roundtable discussion of whether developing cities should strive to be low carbon.

Jim is at the conference in Durban as part of the Academy of Sciences South Africa delegation.
