The new book 'Beyond behaviour change: Key issues, interdisciplinary approaches and future directions' will be launched on 4 March 2016, introduced by Donna Whitehead, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean of Bristol Business School.
The book, edited by Dr Fiona Spotswood from The Centre for the Study of Behaviour Change and Influence at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), is one of the first to bring together insights from leading academics and thinkers in 'behaviour change' across a range of disciplines including public health, transport, marketing and the environment.

'Immigration sanctions do not work' – new research

Tough sanctions against companies who take on undocumented migrants do not stop the exploitation of foreign workers, according to new research.
Professor Sonia McKay, from the University of West of England (UWE Bristol), and Professor Alice Bloch, a sociologist at The University of Manchester, say that the government fails to recognise that for most migrants there is 'no going back' – and that penalties are not enough to stop them seeking and taking on low paid or exploitative work.
