• UWE at Encounters Short Film Festival

  The University of the West of England is one of the main sponsors of the Encounters International Short Film Festival. The Festival takes place at the Watershed Media Centre from 17 to 21 November 2009.

  UWE is putting on one of the events and students are taking the opportunity to screen films at this international festival located right on their doorstep.

• Printers make their mark on Bristol for IMPACT 6

  Around 500 of the world's top printmaking experts from 25 countries will convene in Bristol 16th to 19th September 2009 to take part in the international IMPACT 6 conference at the world renowned Centre for Fine Print Research (CFPR) at the University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE.)

• UWE student wins Jerwood Drawing Prize

  Drawing and Applied Arts student Rox Goffin has won the Jerwood Foundation's prestigious Student Drawing Prize.
  
  Rox, who has just started the second year of her BA degree in Drawing and Applied Arts at UWE, submitted a piece called 'Untitled', which was selected as one of 75 pieces to be part of the exhibition from over 2200 entries.
  
  

• UWE student selected for Jerwood Drawing Prize

  Drawing and Applied Arts student Rox Goffin has been selected to show her work as part of the prestigious Jerwood Drawing Prize 2009 exhibition.
