Hip-Hop festival Amplify lands in Lawrence Hill

Amplify returns for its second year of live music, workshops, art and more, taking place this year on Friday 15 March at Trinity Centre, Bristol.

A collaboration between UWE Bristol's Centre for Music and Wordplay Magazine, Amplify presents live performances from both established and emerging artists on one stage.

Headlining the programme is East London's Barney Artist - a refreshing blend of uplifting, honest and lyrical hip-hop, whilst The Infamous Bristol DJ duo The Allergies are the headline DJs.

Sounds of Harlowe are the Bristol based funk and soul aficionados and other acts on the night include Bobbie Johnson, DJ Fingerfood, Donnie Numeric, Habitus and more, alongside upcoming UWE acts Trippy Picture and Pupils Of The Clock. Street artists Pahnl are behind the design of this year's festival and will be producing some exclusive, limited edition merch.

Festival organiser Kat Branch said: "It's brilliant to be involved with Amplify again this year, building on the success of last year. We've got a great new venue, a stone's throw from the city centre and an amazing line-up."

Tickets are available now and there is a prize draw to win goodies from event support THTC Clothing.
