Back by popular demand, this course commissioned by the Graduate School will give you the tools you'll need to manage very long documents such as a doctoral thesis.

You'll learn how to use the outline view and master documents to manage your work and we'll work through how to build and edit a table of contents, an index, create footnotes, and other referencing tools. We'll discuss good practice and how to make your documents look beautiful.

Before booking, please note the following:

  • This course is limited to 10 places, and priority for these is given to postgraduate researchers (PGRs).
  • If you do book then fail to attend without good reason, in line with our cancellation policy, you may be charged a £100 cancellation fee for non-attendance or last minute cancellation.
  • Participants are required to bring a laptop and a document you are working on with you to the workshop.
