To end the term on a high we're bringing you a night full of laughter and comedy. This virtual live comedy evening, which is exclusive for UWE Bristol students, staff and alumni, is guaranteed to lift the spirits and you don't even have to leave your own home. We're delighted to bring you headliner Suzi Ruffell alongside Tom Allen and Mo Omar all MC'd by the brilliant Kelly Convey.

Fancy nabbing a front row seat? The show will be a one-way broadcast apart from a few lucky people that are able to join the 'front row' and interact with the comedians. If you're up for this then register to be one of 'front row' audience members.

Comedy line up

Suzi Ruffell - The working-class comedian of her generation, Suzi Ruffell has had five sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival racking up critical acclaim from reviewers and audiences alike. In 2018 Suzi recorded and released her show Keeping It Classy for Live From The BBC, with a clip gaining over 32 million views on Facebook.

Suzi is best known for her appearances on Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, The Jonathan Ross Show, Roast Battle, Jon Richardson: Ultimate Worrier, Hypothetical, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, The Comedy Bus, Stand Up Central, Harry Hill's ClubNite and Suzi Ruffell Live From The Comedy Store.

Tom Allen - Having firmly cemented himself as a household name with his signature acerbic wit and riotous storytelling, there is no slowing down for Tom Allen! Making a name for himself on stage, he's gone on to become the hilarious host of The Apprentice: You're Fired, and also co-hosts Bake Off: The Professionals.

Now a regular on Bake Off: An Extra Slice and Alan Carr's There's Something About Movies, Tom has also had numerous appearances on Mock The Week, Live At The Apollo, Hypothetical, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Cats Does Countdown, Would I Lie to You, The Comedy Bus, The Last Leg, QI, The Jonathan Ross Show and Roast Battle. Tom has also had the pleasure of performing for royalty at The Royal Variety Performance.

Mo Omar - Somali-born, Cardiff-raised and London-Based, Mo Omar is a fast-rising talent with a unique perspective. Mo was selected to perform in The Pleasance Comedy Reserve show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and was a finalist of the BBC Introducing Radio 4 Comedy Award, both in 2019. He went on to make his TV debut shortly after, appearing on Harry Hill's Clubnite on Channel 4.

Kelly Convey (MC) - Kelly Convey is an 'in-your face and reassuringly confident' (Chortle) comedian who is not one to mince her words when giving audiences an insight into what modern women really think. Voted by The Metro as '1 of 9 Hilarious Women to Look Out for in 2017', a finalist in South Coast Comedian of the Year and So You Think You're Funny competitions and a semi-finalist in the Funny Women and Leicester Square New Comedian competitions, Kelly is no doubt, one to watch.

Her credits include various projects for Unilad, an episode for the online Comedy Central series Achievement Unlocked and she appeared on the hit Channel 4 show First Dates.

UWE Bristol Alumni can register with a personal email address, but will need to select the relevant attendee type.

Front row audience members registration

Want front row? We have a limited number of virtual 'front row' seats, which means you get to be involved in the show and called upon by the comedians. The comedians love to see real people and real faces and would love to interact with you by asking questions and involving you in the comedy. Your video and audio will be displayed to the audience.

Registration for front row closed on Tuesday 1 June.

The event will start at 19:00. We're running this comedy show online so you can join in with the laughs from the comfort of your own homes. Everyone who registers will be receive a link to the event platform on the day of the event, a couple of hours before it begins.
