How we're tackling the opportunity gap

Our Opportunity Action Plan highlights the work we are doing through:

  • The Office for Students-funded Uni Connect programme, Future Quest, in providing innovative outreach to Bristol's young people and forging sustainable partnerships to tackle the region's educational disadvantage.
  • Addressing the wider social mobility issues within higher education, particularly those worsened by COVID-19, by providing practical and targeted support to disadvantaged students.
  • #IAmFirstGen campaign. This aims to build networks of 'first in family to go to higher education' ambassadors and employers to create opportunities for young people to gain the knowledge, experiences and connections that they need to enter employment and improve their life chances.

This free event will be online and live from 13:30-15:30. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions on the topics covered to feed into the discussion.
