Zero waste alludes to responsible lifestyles, ending waste and a concern for the future of the planet. The exhibition's artworks not only feature themes related to pollution and nature conservation but also place equal importance on valuing human relationships.

Last spring, the second-year students studying graphic arts at the Estonian Academy of the Arts invited interested members of the Artist's Book Club from the Centre for Fine Print Research in Bristol, England to collaborate on the theme of 'zero waste'. The topic was decided on during a joint session and the main issue was: What common denominator would most engage the students?

Seven books were specially created for the exhibition by students from UWE Bristol and Estonia and they are supplemented by artists' books from the collection of the Department of Graphic Arts at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Come along to the library and have a look.
