Time: 09:30-16:30

This is a free one-day event for educators and other professionals, providing musical resources and art-based approaches to supporting young people affected by adverse life events. Participants will be actively involved in playing and listening to music.

The resources have been developed through Sustaining Teachers and Learners with the Arts (STALWARTS), an EU-funded project that empowers educators and other professionals to use music and the arts to support vulnerable young people in the classroom.

Members of the project team from the Novalis Trust and UWE Bristol will provide background information about the project and present results from coordinating small classroom activities.

Attendees will also hear about two new Continuing Professional Development modules at UWE Bristol for educators and other professionals, focusing on the arts and relational health, which have been key outputs for STALWARTS.
