  • 18:00 Panel discussion at City Hall: Introduced and chaired by Professor Robin Hambleton, UWE Bristol. Panel discussion: Building an Inclusive City - Leadership lessons from Bristol
    This session will share reflections on the challenges and opportunities of developing a 'One City Approach' to leadership that brings together public, private, voluntary and third sector partners in order to "make Bristol a fair, healthy and sustainable city. A city of hope and aspiration, where everyone can share in its success." Hosted in collaboration with the Bristol Mayor's Office this event will take place in City Hall, the seat of local government in Bristol and a short walk from the venue for the gala dinner. Panellists include Marvin Rees, Mayor of Bristol, and Kalpna Woolf, award-winning ex BBC Head of Production, Founder of 91 Ways to Build a Global City and CEO of BeOnBoard, and Andy Street, Founding Director of SLR Consulting; Founder and Chair of FareShare South West, Chair of InHope and Chair of City Funds The discussion will be chaired by Robin Hambleton, Emeritus Professor of City Leadership, UWE Bristol.

Other highlights

There will be a conference dinner in central Bristol on the night of 16 December to which all delegates are invited (now fully booked).

Following the conference, delegates will be invited to submit their work for a special issue of the international peer-reviewed journal Leadership on the conference theme of 'Putting leadership in its place'.

Additional activities and opportunities will be confirmed nearer the time.

Conference fees

Registration has now closed.

Cancellation and refund policy

Cancellations/Refunds of confirmed bookings, must be notified in writing to the Organiser and will be charged based upon the date of notification as follows:

  • More than six calendar weeks prior to the Conference the delegate will be entitled to a full refund.
  • With six calendar weeks prior to the Conference the delegate will be entitled to 50% of the conference fee.

If any individual Delegate is unable to attend, the Delegate reservation may not be transferred to any third party without the prior written consent of the Organiser. For the avoidance of doubt the Organiser shall not unreasonably object to substitution of a one Delegate with another Delegate from the same organisation/company in extenuating circumstances.

Accommodation

Please note: conference fees do not include accommodation which should be arranged separately by conference attendees. Delegates can book accommodation at the Holiday Inn Filton for their best available daily rate.
