International Women's Day 2019 Celebration – Balance for Better

Join us for an International Women's Day 2019 celebration. It will include a key note speech from Dr Finn MacKay, Senior Lecturer in Sociology and TEDxCoventGardenWomen speaker, and a panel discussion titled Balance for Better: Achieving your Balance.

Speakers for the panel discussion include

  • Finn McKay, Senior Lecturer and TEDxCoventGardenWomen speaker
  • Zed Moore, Transformation Programme Manager for NHS England
  • Mena Fombo, Founder/Director at The OJiJi Purple Project and Leadership Coach
  • Donna Whitehead, Pro Vice Chancellor and Executive Dean.

A free lunch will be provided for all attendees provided they have registered. If you would like to attend the lunch please email to register your free place.

In the afternoon we will be running a series of workshops to help you achieve Balance. Topics include:

  • Menopause and the workplace with Bristol Women's Voice and Women of a Certain Age
  • Mindful eating in the workplace – staying focused and avoiding the mid-afternoon slump with Claire stone, nutritionist
  • Resilience in the workplace with Carol Jarvis
  • An introduction into mindfulness for stress reduction for Christine Ramsey-Wade

There will also be stalls run by female entrepreneurs and a raffle with proceeds going to two local charities, Womenkind and Refugee Women of Bristol.
