This session for postgraduate researchers, facilitated by Dr Hannah Little, will help give you the confidence you need to speak up, the skills you need to be heard, and the tools to keep your speech structured, convincing and concise.

This includes the practical things you need to consider when speaking in public, how to deal with issues of confidence in speaking and asking questions, and how to keep your speech structured and concise.

You will learn how to structure a speech or question to give it impact and learn techniques from rhetoric, public speaking and even stand-up comedy to make a lasting impression.

This event is aimed at postgraduate researchers and research staff.
