Now that coursework is handed in and exams have finished, it's time to give you a chance to unwind from what might have been a stressful few weeks. This month's Feel Good Focus will give you tips and ideas about the best ways to relax:
Go out for celebratory meal with friendsGrab a few friends who have also finished their exams and head out to your favourite restaurant. This will be a great chance to catch up with each other in a relaxed environment over good food.
Have a Netflix dayYour body needs time to recuperate, so wake up late if you need to and spend the day binging on your favourite series that you've neglected over the last month - without the guilt of knowing you should be studying!
Get lost in a bookMost bookworms will being picking up their books straight after their exams, and for good reason; getting lost in a book is a great way to relax and forget about the outside world. Plus, reading anything other than your course textbooks is a welcome change!
Visit friends at other universitiesNow is the perfect time to visit a friend you promised to see at the beginning of the academic year as neither of you will have exams or coursework to worry about! Plus, it's a good opportunity to explore what another city has to offer.
Treat yourselfWhether it's buying a new pair of shoes or going out for a haircut, do something positive just for you to reward yourself for all the hard work you've done.
Go outsideYou've spent enough time stuck indoors, watching everyone else enjoy the sunshine and now it's your turn. Whether it's walking the dog, cycling or just taking a picnic out with some friends, fresh air will help reduce stress levels.
ExerciseExercise will give you the much needed endorphin boost to help combat stress, as well as giving you the chance to burn off that nervous energy left over from exams. Find something you enjoy and aim for 30 minutes per day.
