Summary

Dr Quenivet (UWE Bristol) will present a paper on the prosecution of child soldiers for war crimes. This will be followed by comments from Dr Bisset of the University of Reading.

Event details

Dr Noelle Quenivet (UWE Bristol) will share with the audience her views on whether international law allows – and if yes, should allow – for the prosecution of children who have committed war crimes.

One of the core elements of the presentation lays in the interaction between juvenile restorative justice and post-conflict restorative and retributive justice.

Dr Alison Bisset, an Associate Professor at the University of Reading and expert in international children's rights and transitional justice, will respond to the arguments presented by the speaker.
