The first of four research impact seminars focusing on evidence based policy-making and influencing public policies.

There is an increased need for policy-relevant evidence to inform policy processes. Policy-makers require accurate and timely evidence to assess complex issues and propose policy solutions for these issues. What are the policy makers' incentives and their capacity to make use of evidence based research? What are the drivers for researchers to influence public policies?

A number of invited guest speakers will give their reflections on the supply and demand aspects of evidence based policy making and provide some practical tips on how to make research accessible to policy-makers; how to establish an effective dialogue between researchers and policy makers; and how to effectively communicate research evidence to influence the policy-making process.
