Secretariat

The Secretariat is led by the Clerk to the Governors and is primarily responsible for looking after the Board of Governors and its committees. It provides a range of advice and support to staff and students, including: records retention and management; internal University elections to boards and committees; acting as the University's point of contact with the Office of the Independent Adjudicator (OIA); student discipline matters; producing the Committee Handbook; and some legal matters such as Freedom of Information and 'whistleblowing'. The Secretariat works closely with the Vice-Chancellor's Office, particularly in terms of the interface with the Board of Governors.

Research Ethics information is now hosted on the Research, Business and Innovation web site.
