BBS announces appointment of Professor Ursula Lucas

Bristol Business School, part of the University of the West of England, has announced the appointment of Dr Ursula Lucas as Professor of Accounting Education.

Awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in 2001, Dr Lucas's research in accounting education has earned her a rare Professorship among accounting academics.

Her appointment recognises the value of education research, combining both excellence in teaching and critical research within Bristol Business School.

Dr Lucas is involved in many active research projects, including a study of work-based learning with a fellow BBS accounting academic. Their research was funded by The Higher Education Academy and the Charitable Trusts of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). She also boasts numerous contributions to an extensive range of academic publications.

Dr Lucas's career highlights include, appointment as an associate editor of international journal, Accounting Education and a visiting appointment at the University of Sydney, Australia.
