UWE presents Cinderella

Issue date: 16 November 2005

Issue date: 16/11/05
The Olympus Theatre, Friday 2 December 19.00 and Saturday 3 December 14.00 and 19.00

You know the story, you've seen the film, now bring the family and enjoy a delightful re-working of this classic fairy-tale. Students from the Centre for Performing Arts at the University of the West of England are offering three performances of Stuart Paterson's Cinderella just in time to get you in the mood for Christmas. With wonderfully wicked step-sisters, a daft spotty dog and pie-in-the-face slapstick, it has all the energy and irreverence of good panto. In addition it incorporates a little of the seriousness found in the best of children's theatre, as we watch Cinderella's spirited journey from sadness and anger at rejection, to finding love where she least expected it. Is that at the ball? or is it closer to home? You'll need to come along and find out. Oh no you won't? Oh yes you will!
For tickets and further information call the Centre for Performing Arts at UWE on O117 32 82067. Tickets are £8.00, £5.00 concessions (special ticket price for schools £5.00).

The Olympus Theatre, New Road, Stoke Gifford, Bristol, BS34 8QT (behind Filton High School).
