The Chamber Choir and Brass Consort of the University of the West of England will be performing at All Saints Church, All Saints Road, Weston-super-Mare this Saturday 8 May 2004 at 7.30pm.

The students will perform works by Stanford, Gibbons and Gabrieli and central to the programme is an exciting new work by the Polish composer, Gorecki, written in 2000.

The choir, who were runners up in the SingOut 2000 Competition for HTV, will also be singing Barber’s much loved Agnus Dei – a choral setting of the Adagio for Strings.

The concert is conducted by Martin Freke and Ian Holmes of UWE’s Centre for Performing Arts.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets (£7, concessions £4) are available at the door, and from The Heritage Centre Coffee House, Wadham Street, Weston-super-Mare.
