Are you involved in or thinking of setting up an extra-curricular project?

Issue date: 15 November 2016

Are you involved in an academic project or extra-curricular activity and could benefit from a student experience grant? Or perhaps you to want to start a community volunteering project?

We offer grants to support projects students are involved in - it's called the UWE Bristol Fund and any student can apply.

Student experience fund grant

There's no limit to the amount of money you apply for – but your project must improve the experience of other students. Previous projects which have been awarded funding are:

  • Drama Society
  • Feel Good February
  • Wheelchair basketball

Take a look at the application criteria and apply online. There's no deadline – you can apply all year round.

Community fund grant

If you have an idea for a community project and you think it would be enhanced by funding then why not apply for funding?

Previous projects which have been awarded funding are:

  • Deaf Sport
  • GreenSpace
  • Care home art classes
  • Music therapy

Take a look at the pre-application checklist. Once you've completed this, our volunteering team will check it over for you, and then send you the main application form to complete.

The deadline for this is Friday 2 December 2016.

Getting involved in extra-curricular activities provides a great addition to your CV and is a great way to meet new people, get out and about, have fun and make your mark!
