African Law Students Forum organise book of condolence for Nelson Mandela

Issue date: 21 February 2014

Following the passing of the former President of the Republic of South Africa, Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, the African Law Students Forum at UWE decided to organise a book of condolence for the whole UWE community to sign. This was an opportunity to bring together both students and staff as they expressed their condolences and personal thoughts about a truly inspirational man and world leader. Subsequently, in a small ceremony at the Community Hub, attended by members of the ALSF and the university's chaplain, the book of condolence was handed to Professor Chris Mullard, Honorary Consul to the Republic of South Africa. Professor Mullard will present the book to the Mandela family on behalf of the UWE community.

ALSF, UWE would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who contributed in one way or the other to make this event a success.
