'Celebrating UWE Talent'

Issue date: 12 November 2013

Wednesday 13 November

The 'Celebrating UWE Talent' event, which will be opened by the Lord Mayor of Bristol, recognises the fantastic achievements of UWE students who have represented the University through hundreds of work placements, internships and work experience, in local, national and international businesses.

A total of eleven prizes will be awarded to students on the night, with a total value of £3500. Each prize will recognise students who have managed to exceed all expectations within their chosen field, and have proven to be excellent ambassadors for the University.

The evening will also highlight the work of UWE's Enterprise and Employability department, and the importance of the University's employability partners, many of whom have generously agreed to sponsor the prizes to be presented at the awards.

During the event there will be an opportunity for businesses to find out how best to partner with UWE and to effectively engage the very best of emerging graduate talent in the West of England.

Hannah Newmarch, Head of Employer Partnership Services, says, “As a University that has long appreciated the value of partnerships with the local social and business community, we are incredibly grateful to our employer partners who have kindly sponsored the prizes helping us acknowledge those students and graduates who have exceeded expectations.”
