Issue date: 20 August 2013
The University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) has recently been granted outline planning permission for the University's master plan and a number of projects are now coming forward as the master plan is implemented.
The outline permission includes proposals for additional student accommodation at a number of locations on the Frenchay Campus. Wallscourt Park is the first of the student accommodation sites to go through this process.
Following a competitive tender process, Interserve, one of the world's foremost support services and construction companies, has been appointed as main contractor to develop the design and construct the accommodation.
Interserve and its consultant team is currently in the process of developing the detailed design, in anticipation of submitting a detailed 'Reserved Matters' application to South Gloucestershire Council in September 2013.
There will be a public exhibition detailing the latest plans and proposals for the Wallscourt Park student accommodation in S block reception on Thursday 22 August 2013 from 15.00 to 19.00, where visitors will be able to view plans showing the location and scale of the proposal.
Presentation material will be available for review and representatives from UWE, Interserve and the consultant team will be on hand to discuss the proposals for the site and to receive any comments.
Comments can be left with representatives at the exhibition, or sent to the team via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post for the attention of Mr Karl Scholz at Alder King, Pembroke House, 15 Pembroke Road, Bristol, BS8 3BA.
To accompany this exhibition, and for those unable to attend the event, an on-line survey has been set up and a downloadable set of the consultation boards. If you are unable to attend in person, or unable to access the website, but would like to receive information about the proposals, please contact Karl Scholz on 0117 317 1114 or email@example.com.
Please note that the deadline for any comments is Friday 30th August 2013, any comments after this date will not be considered.
