UWE Bristol launches specialist careers website for Chinese graduates

Issue date: 14 January 2013

UK/China GradLink is the latest initiative from UWE Bristol set to help the 75,000 Chinese students in the UK access graduate job opportunities in China.

It is the only specialist careers website for Chinese students studying at universities across the UK, providing resources and advice to connect them with leading graduate employers in China.

Benefits of GradLink include free access to a jobs database offering hundreds of graduate and postgraduate vacancies across China; connections to the HR departments of a range of Chinese employers, including Deloitte, Bayer, Intel, Neusoft and Renren Inc; advice and templates on writing cover letters and CVs, and testimonials from UK graduates from China who've kick-started their graduate careers.

Employers wishing to promote vacancies and internships to a whole new pool of talent can also take advantage of the free-of-charge scheme that offers access to graduate CVs, with the majority displaying qualifications in commercial areas such as business, law, IT, engineering and construction. Employers can submit a profile online in English or Chinese, or for more information can email gradlink@uwe.ac.uk with any questions.

David Gee, Global Careers Consultant at UWE, who has set up the GradLink sites says, “Chinese employers are very excited about UK/China GradLink as it provides a one-stop portal for them to connect with quality Chinese students and graduates right across the UK. From the students point-of-view, UK/China GradLink enables them to do their research early and connect with the best opportunities first.”

“UK/China GradLink follows very successful GradLink websites already set up for Indian and Malaysian students across the UK.”
