Recent media coverage for UWE Bristol

The partnership between UWE Bristol and Great Western Ambulance Service (GWAS) continues to receive media attention. In the past week the news has been featured in This is Wiltshire, the Salisbury Journal and the Wiltshire Times

The new plans for the UWE Stadium on Frenchay Campus made the front page of the Bristol Evening Post on Friday 9 March. The story also made Jack FM, the Gazette Series, Heart Radio and Bristol 247.

Nowhereisland, an Arctic Island that will travel the 702 miles of coastline of South West England in 2012, a collaboration between artist Alex Hartley and the Situations programme at UWE Bristol was featured in the Bristol Evening Post this week.

UWE Bristol academics interviewed on broadcast media this week include Professor Hugh Barton who appeared on BBC Radio Gloucester speaking on town planning, Dr Dean McSweeny was interviewed by BBC Radio Bristol about Super Tuesday in the US Elections. Professor Alan Winfield was interviewed by BBC Radio Bristol about robots. Professor Moira Plant was interviewed on BBC Radio 5 Live by Anne Widdicombe for a programme about women and binge drinking.
