Issue date: 30 November 2011

Professor Judy Orme presented the findings of the Evaluation of the Food for Life Partnership (FFLP) at a meeting at Clarence House hosted by HRH Prince Charles. The evaluation was led by a UWE research team in collaboration with Cardiff University.

The FFLP brings together expertise of four food focused charities who were all represented at the meeting - Soil Association, The Focus on Food Campaign, Health Education Trust and Garden Organic. The meeting explored the way forward for the Food for Life Partnership initiative which aims to change food culture in primary and secondary schools across England by supporting children, families and communities to increase growing and cooking activity and understand more about food sustainability.

Other participants in the meeting which was held on November 10th, 2011, included Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall, Peter Ainsworth (Chair of the BIG Lottery Fund), several Directors of Public Health and Peter Melchett, Deputy Director of the Soil Association.
