Industry events give UWE students the creative edge

Issue date: 29 April 2010

Leading names from Bristol's creative industries will be taking part in the latest of a series of industry forum events for students at UWE's School of Creative Arts (SCA).

The events, organised by the SCA Enterprise Office, are a valuable opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in design or the media to gain an insight into what it takes to get noticed in an increasingly competitive and fast moving environment.

Creative professionals from Aardman, Arthur Cox, BBC, Bray Leino, True Digital and many more will make up the panel discussions, answering questions on getting your foot in the door, working as a collective and sharing their experiences of what they've learnt along the way.

The Enterprise Office was launched in September 2009 to co-ordinate and filter extra-curricular opportunities to SCA students, providing opportunities to build professional skills and make industry contacts.

Both events will take place in room 0A2 at the Bower Ashton Campus and are open to all current Creative Arts students.
