The Pervasive Media Studio is the base for UWE's Digital Cultures Research Centre and opens its doors every Friday lunchtime for informal talks by Studio residents and associates.

This week come and hear Aardman's Creative Director of Digital, Dan Efergan, talk about mistakes, successes and how the company is venturing bravely into the unknown.

Digital is the newest department within Aardman with a mission to take some of the warm and creative imagination that informs Aardman's film and TV production and direct it into new online entertainment products for other clients and as well as its own properties.

Over the last few years the entertainment industry has grown hungry for content that transcends platforms and we now find ourselves on a journey to discover what this actually means in terms of production and process.

Dan Efergan is Creative Director of Digital at Aardman Animations. That means he gets to spend a lot of time doing fun things like making games, nurturing online communities and solving other peoples' digital problems.

This Lunchtime Talk is part of Open Studio Friday which takes place at the Studio every week. Lunchtime Talks are open to anyone who is interested in finding out more about the Studio and the work it does.

UWE is a partner of the Pervasive Media Studio, which is also the base for UWE's Digital Cultures Research Centre.
