Going to university in 2012? UWE advises on fees, funding + support

The University of the West of England is holding an open evening to help students thinking of applying to go to university in 2012 with information and advice about funding and disability support and career prospects. The event is aimed at parents, carers and prospective students considering Higher Education in 2012 by presenting the facts.

Anyone thinking of applying to University in 2012 should come along. The open evening is open to all potential university applicants even if they do not plan to apply to UWE.

There will be professional advisers on hand offering one to one advice and a series of presentations on finance, disability and career prospects. Information will be available on funding, the repayment of student loans, additional support for applicants from low income backgrounds, disability and dyslexia support , and advice on how to research the career implications of course choice and to achieve career success on graduation.

Maggie Westgarth, Head of Careers at UWE, said, “We aim to help people to make informed choices about university education and to understand what steps they need to take before, during and after their studies in order to reap the value of the investment.”
