    A group of entrepreneurial Illustration students from UWE Bristol have produced a series of unique and beautifully crafted Christmas Cards on sale to the public to raise funds for their final year London degree show.

  • Ex-Building student wins Construction Manager of the Year Award 2011


    Congratulations to Roger Frost for winning The Chartered Institute of Building's Construction Manager of the Year Award 2011. Roger, now 50, studied for an HND in Building followed by a Diploma in Building Technology and Management, (1979-1983, Bristol Polytechnic, now UWE) and went on to obtain a distinction in the CIOB part two examinations.

  • UWE Bristol graduate photographer gets national recognition for amazing photos of nuns and street scenes


    A graduate from UWE Bristol, Ibolya Feher, is getting significant recognition for her work. She was runner up in the Guardian Student Media Awards Student Photographer of the Year and a finalist in the London Street Photography Festival earlier this year. Ibolya was also a finalist in the South West Graduate Photography Prize organised by Foto Now.

    A student from UWE Bristol has won the student prize at the internationally acclaimed Cheltenham Illustration Awards.

    Brittany Molineux, a year 2 Illustration student, was presented with first prize for her winning entry, "Heavenly Reindeer Tale" at a recent awards ceremony hosted by the University of Gloucestershire and received an Apple IMac computer.

  • UWE Bristol graduate named Radiotherapy Student of the Year


    A graduate from UWE Bristol has won the Radiotherapy Student of the Year award. The award will be presented by the Society and College of Radiographers to Fran Roberts at a special ceremony at the House of Commons on Tuesday 8 November 2011. This is the third time in four years that a radiotherapy student from the University has been awarded this prestigious national prize.

    A student from UWE Bristol has designed an amazing sonic sculpture that makes music when viewers move around it.

    Harriet Bowman, a level 2 Fine Arts student has won a £1000 Ideas Fund Innovators award for a project entitled 'Field Song' that she has created in collaboration with London based musician Ben Socrates.

    A Product Design graduate from the University of the West of England has been shortlisted for the national UK heat of the James Dyson Award. This prestigious award is an international student design award running in 18 countries. It's run by the James Dyson Foundation, James Dyson's charitable trust, as part of its mission to encourage the next generation of design engineers.

  • UWE Students get in the swim with legal advice


    A group of Legal Practice Students from Bristol Institute of Legal Practice, at the University of the West of England, have used their skills to help residents from Wotton-Under-Edge in Gloucestershire to take over the running of their local swimming pool when the council decided they needed to close it.
