Celebrating UWE Talent Awards

Issue date: 17 October 2018

Celebrating UWE Bristol Talent is our prestigious annual event that honours the outstanding achievements of students in various employability-related activities.

Nominations are now open, so why not put yourself forward for an award? It'll look great on your CV and be a great achievement to talk about at future job interviews.

Nominations process

There are seven award categories:

- Undergraduate Intern of the Year
- Entrepreneur of the Year
- Placement Students of the Year
- Global Experience Student of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Arts, Creative Industries and Education Student of the Year
- Undergraduate Mentee of the Year Award

You are able to nominate yourself for all awards (except the Undergraduate Intern of the Year and Placement Students of the Year awards, which your employer can nominate you for).

All you need to do is complete a 500 word personal statement reflecting on your experiences and key skills.

Application dates are specific to each award, but will be either Wednesday 31 October or Monday 5 November. Please double-check the closing date for the award you want to apply for so that you don't miss out.

Awards ceremony and prizes

Winners and runners up receive cash prizes and official recognition on their Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) record.

This year's award ceremony takes place on Wednesday 13 March 2019 at Future Space, Frenchay Campus. It's set to be a great event with food, refreshments and networking opportunities, plus the all-important prize presentations.
