  • Relax and Unwind at the Octagon

    Date: 29 April - 24 May 2013
    Venue: The Octagon, Frenchay Campus

    During the hectic exam period, take a moment away from the stress. As well as a quieter space to take a break, we will have free fruit, the usual tea and coffee (plus herbal teas!), relaxing music and quick activities to give you a rest from study. We've also got hints and tips to help with stress and revision.

  • Festival Volunteers - bar, waiters, stewards, welcome team and more!

    Date: 31 May - 09 June 2013
    Venue: Bristol Harbourside

    Join in the fun and volunteer over the Festival of Stones 10 day event. Positions include: bar, waiters, stewards, welcome team and cleaners. There will be 50 competing carvers, live music, street theatre, good food and drink, master classes and more!

  • The UWE Big Beach Clean

    Date: 01 June 2013
    Venue: Sand Bay, near Weston-super-Mare

    Run in partnership with the Marine Conservation Society, the UWE Big Beach Clean is a great chance to spend the day at the seaside, fill your lungs with fresh air and make a difference by helping to clear the beach at Sand Bay of litter.

  • Education Volunteers - Year 6 Moving On Day

    Date: 12 June - 18 June 2013
    Venue: Bristol Cathedral

    Take part in an exciting event in Bristol Cathedral helping Year 6 children from around Bristol celebrate their journey from Primary to Secondary school.

  • Bristol Festival of Nature Volunteers

    The Festival of Nature weekend has been the highlight of the summer for Bristol's families and wildlife enthusiasts for the last 10 years, and as always we depend heavily on volunteers to make this huge celebration of the natural world happen.

  • Big Stroll Event Volunteer

    We are looking for event volunteers to assist during our Big Stroll South West, a sponsored walk from Keynsham to Bristol finishing at the Kings Arms Pub in Clifton.

  • SENSE - Holidays and Events Volunteers

    Date: 01 July - 31 August 2013
    Venue: Holiday Camp

    Summer Holiday Volunteers needed to support deafblind children, young people or adults on a week holiday in July or August. Sense are a national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind. Volunteering with Sense is a great way to meet people, try new challenges, explore new ways of communicating and visit new places, all while experiencing a huge sense of achievement. As a Sense volunteer you are valued not just for your time and energy but for the unique contribution you bring.

  • Volunteering Action Day

    Date: 05 July - 06 July 2013
    Venue: Cranham, Gloucestershire

    We are looking for volunteers to help with our Cotswold Commons and Beechwoods National Nature Reserve BioBlitz, an event bringing together naturalists, students, school children and members of the public to try and find as many species of wildlife as possible within 28 hours. It will take place in Cranham on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 July 2013. This opportunity is open to students and staff.

    We currently have opportunities to help market and promote the Bristol Pride Festival which takes place in Bristol from the 6-13 July culminating in a massive free outdoor music and arts festival in the heart of the city. This is a great opportunity for anyone who might be interested in working within the Third Sector, Arts, Media Comms, Marketing and has experience and passion for writing press releases.

    UWE's Centre for Sport is recruiting volunteers to help support and run the activities during the Summer HotShots Holiday Camp. A great way to work with children and have fun in the sun. Volunteer this summer!

  • Summer play group volunteer

    Help out with play group activities during the summer months with children aged between 4 and 11 years.
