The role of business in a disrupted world. Why business needs to work harder to show its positive contribution to society

Kevin Ellis, Chair and Senior Partner of PwC UK, will deliver a lecture as part of the Bristol Distinguished Address Series entitled 'The role of business in a disrupted world. Why business needs to work harder to show its positive contribution to society'.

In today's society, business is often considered to be contributing to the problems facing the world, rather than being seen as part of the solutions. Despite often contributing to positive change in society through goods produced, services provided, skills training, job creation and economic wealth - the positive impact that business make is not always recognised. How can business work harder such that its positive contributions are more readily understood across society.

In a world where solutions need to be found to environmental and social issues and where technological disruption is reshaping our relationship with work what more can be done to ensure that businesses contribution is seen as a force for good.
