About this workshop

This is a two hour workshop aimed specifically at Masters level students (not PhD students or undergraduates) in non-science subjects who are currently in the process of writing up their dissertation research, or are about to start this stage.

It includes a revision of building an argument; clarifies what makes a good introduction and conclusion; signposts common requirements for presenting tables and figures and provides tips on reviewing and editing'.

To benefit most from this workshop, you are encouraged to bring along some of your draft work if you have some in progress.

The workshop will cover:

  • A brief revision of building an argument.
  • Clarify what makes a good introduction and conclusion.
  • The common requirements when presenting figures and tables.
  • Tips for reviewing and editing.

The facilitator will be available in the room for one hour after the workshop to answer individual questions that attendees may have.
