Did you know that 34% of researchers admit to questionable practices in the course of their careers? And that 72% of them consider that their colleagues engage in such practices? The result is that in some disciplines the majority (yes, the majority) of published research is just incorrect. If you want to know how this can happen and, most importantly, how not to contribute to this state of affairs, this is the workshop for you.

About this workshop

In this workshop we will challenge the main problems we face in our research, or the so called 'seven deadly sins'. The author of the 'Seven Deadly Sins of Psychology: A Manifesto for Reforming the Culture of Scientific Practice' – Chris Chambers, will help you to tackle each of them. After this workshop you will feel equipped to resist the multiple temptations to take shortcuts in your research and publishing.

This event is aimed at postgraduate researchers including early career researchers.
