This event has now passed.

Date: 11 March 2015
Venue: Bristol Cathedral, College Green, Bristol BS1 5TJ
Time: 19.00

St Matthias College was founded in 1853 as an Anglican teacher training college and later became a campus of UWE Bristol. The campus was finally closed this summer and staff and students have been relocated. However, the St Matthias Lecture is a continuing legacy from the Foundation of St Matthias, aimed at providing a lecture that brings together the subjects of education and faith in a way that is relevant to the existing University community.

Right Reverend Declan Lang, Bishop of Clifton, Chair of the Department of International Affairs in the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales.

This event will be chaired by Dr Christien Van Den Anker, Reader in Politics and Director of the UWE Human Rights Unit.

This event is organised in joint partnership with UWE Community Hub; Faith and Spirituality; the Foundation of Saint Matthias; Diocese of Clifton, Justice and Peace Commission and Bristol Cathedral.
