UWE and Islamic Student Network Iftar celebrations

UWE Bristol and the Islamic Student Network invite you to join our Iftar celebrations. Iftar is the chance to gather and break fasting together as a community and this is an opportunity to come and take part in the celebrations and to find out more about Ramadan.

The event will be attended by the Right Honorable Lord Mayor of Bristol, Councillor Faruk Choudhury, and will feature a guest speaker who will present a talk on Ramadan, its importance and its practice. It will be followed by a specially prepared feast to mark the end of the month-long fast.

Interested?

For catering purposes, everyone who is attending and intending to eat with us needs to register.

Programme

The event starts at 19:30, with speakers at 19:45, call to prayer and fast breaking with dates and milk at 20:45 (sunset), before the sumptuous and specially prepared feast later on in the evening.
